My final project was to design a social media campaign aiming to reduce the risk of dangerous driving in young people, a problem particularly prevalent in North Wales. I worked with the Wales Centre for Behaviour Change in order to employ psychological theories of behaviour change throughout the design process. Towards the end of the project, I pitched it to a Community Safety Officer from the North Wales Fire & Rescue Service, resulting in the endorsement of the campaign and subsequent plans to use the material in schools and colleges across North Wales.

The campaign incorporated a series of two-dimensional graphics, three videos or ‘motion graphics’ and one product which would be a free item to complement the campaign. To execute the project, I used the Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Premiere Pro, and TechSoft 2D. Most of the outputs would be digital, but the complementary product was manufactured from acrylic (plastic) using a laser-cutting process.
